We also offer free estimates where we can help you decide which accessories are necessary for your home. Below is an overview of the accessories we offer and what they can do for you.

Thermostat

A thermostat is used to control the heating and cooling systems within your home. It simply switches the heating and cooling systems on and off when necessary to keep your home temperature at a comfortable setting. It works by sensing the temperature in the air, and switching on either machine depending on what the set temperature is at. If the temperature rises or falls from the set temperature you’ve programmed in, it will kick on and either heat or cool the home until it has reached optimal temperature for your comfort.

Humidifier

Humidifiers are a device that produces water vapor or steam into the air of your house to keep the air moisturized, and not too dry. These devices are essential in the cold months of winter when the air is unbearably dry. Moisture is produced throughout the home with normal living activities such as showering, washing dishes, or cooking, but if you feel like your skin is dryer than normal and static shocks are becoming a pain during the dryer months of the year, humidifier can alleviate these issues in your home.

APCO

An Advanced Photocatalytic Oxidation system, also known as APCO, is an air purifying system that can be installed in your home. This system is installed by professionals into your air ducts in your central air system. APCO uses UCV light to reduce germ and odors than can be harmful to those living in your home. This system is especially unique because unlike traditional filtration systems that only catch dust particles, the APCO system eliminates contaminants out of the air that conventional filtration systems don’t catch.

Surge Protector

A surge protector is also known as a surge suppressor and it is used to protect your electrical appliances and devices from a spike in voltage. This device tries to eliminate the voltage by blocking any unwanted voltage. They are useful for protecting expensive electrical equipment like large televisions and computers, but don’t forget about phone lines and cable lines as well as surge protectors can be useful when it comes to protecting these lines too.

Smoke Detector

Smoke detectors do just that; detect smoke in the air in your home. Smoke detectors have two parts, one that does the actual detecting of smoke in the air, and a very loud horn to wake people up as a warning to get out as soon as possible. Smoke detectors are very cheap and can be purchased for as little at seven dollars. They run off of batteries and should be changed only twice a year.

Carbon Monoxide Detector

A Carbon Monoxide detector is a device that detects the poisonous gas presence in a home. These are extremely important to have in your home because carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas and it is nearly impossible to detect without proper equipment. It is caused by fuels not burning completely through from wood, gasoline, coal, and natural gas or heating oil.

Compressor Saver

The 5-2-1 compressor saver is designed to decrease the time it takes the air conditioning compressor to start. Air conditioning systems that have a 5-2-1 compressor start an average 50% faster and also use much less energy than AC units without one.
