Ductless Mini Splits
Ductless mini-splits are a compact dual heating and cooling system that does not use a duct system like a traditional HVAC system. Instead, each “split” has its own compact indoor/outdoor air handler and compressor. Ductless mini-split systems are quiet and an ideal cooling solution for temperature control of individual rooms or zones within your home. Because each split is individually controlled and operated, a ductless mini-split is easier to install and often more efficient than traditional air conditioners.
Another type of dual system, heat pumps provide an extremely versatile heating, cooling, and humidity control whole-home solution. During the summer when the air is hot, the heat pump conditions the air with refrigerant before distributing it throughout your home. During the winter, the heat pump adjusts by warming the air instead. During the day, it continues to cycle and treat the air inside your home. This method also helps better control moisture levels for more comfortable living conditions.
