Say hello to Hoosier Indoor Air’s service technician, Cameron Kaylor!
As one of our service technicians, Cameron Kaylor is part of the team you see everyday cruising around in our green and purple trucks on their way to help our customers with their heating and cooling needs, maintenance, repairs, and installations.
While Cameron is one of the newest members of our team, he already says he feels at home at Hoosier Indoor Air.
“Once you come here, you are family from day one,” Cameron said. “They really do treat you like family and really respect your life outside of work. I have my son at home, so family is incredibly important to me.
“This company also isn’t worried about being the biggest name in town with a huge fleet of average-skilled techs. They would much rather have a smaller team filled with technicians of the highest caliber which I greatly respect.”
After serving our country for nearly a decade in the United States Army as a combat engineer, Cameron began his search for a new career upon his return to civilian life. Always being a handy individual and enjoying working on things, he started exploring a number of different trade careers from plumbing to electrical work.
However, after trying his hand at many different trades he found himself immediately drawn to HVAC work. So, he pursued his official training and soon found his way to the Hoosier Indoor Air team. But what was it that attracted Cameron to HVAC other than his skills working with his hands?
“I enjoy the niche customers we work with,” he said. “Every day there is a new challenge, a new problem that needs to be solved. I also like to keep busy and in HVAC, especially during the peak seasons, there is always work to be done.”
Born and raised in the downtown area of Indianapolis Cameron grew up an athlete, playing basketball and soccer in school – even playing soccer at the collegiate level later on in life.
When he isn’t working, Cameron enjoys being a parent and spending time with his family above all things. He says that quantity time, not necessarily quality time, is an important part of family time.
Cameron also enjoys several hobbies and activities when he has the time. A regular weight lifter, he is currently working towards his goal of lifting 350 lbs.… followed shortly by his next test of 400 lbs.! He also coaches baseball in his hometown of Rushville.
Recently, Cameron has also begun getting more and more involved in motorcycle drag racing at local tracks like the Lucas Oil Raceway, Muncie Dragway, and Bloomington Speedway. Growing up in a family of racers and having built several street bikes of his own, his involvement in racing has been slowly growing over the years. He is working towards going 150 mph on his bike, a milestone he looks forward to reaching in his racing career.
We are so happy to have Cameron’s skills and expertise on our service team. If you are in need of heating and cooling service let Hoosier Indoor Air provide you the relief you need – and be sure to ask for Cameron Kaylor by name to help solve your problem.
